The Augustana choir, from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, has established a tradition of excellence in singing a cappella choral literature from the Renaissance through present day. The highly select ensemble, consisting of 55 singers from all areas of study at Augustana, is known for its expressive and innovative approach to choral performance. The program for the choir’s 2026 tour of Scandinavia will include new and traditional selections from a variety of cultures and traditions. Jon Hurty has been the conductor of the ensemble since 1996.
The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be taken.
